With a few weeks left to the state legislative session, health care advocates are hoping that this will finally be the year that the single-payer NY Health program will pass. Assemblymember Richard Gottfried, the long-time champion of the issue, is retiring this year after 52 years. He talks about the bill with Mark Dunlea of Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
