It was clear to Longoria that the power and emotion in the story came from the ups and down, challenges and success of a man who never gave up and never settled. This film is about the strength of faith and family to empower and uplift. “This is not a story about the Flamin’ Hot Cheeto”, Longoria said. “Flamin’ Hot is the story of Richard Montañez’ life. And it’s a fascinating life”, she added. “He has overcome so much.  We could have stayed in his childhood for a whole movie, that’s how interesting he is.” </strong></p>
