Cybersecurity’s Catch-22: As hacking attacks increase, a staffing shortage leaves networks exposed

Hacking and ransomware attacks have at least doubled over the last year, according to cybersecurity watchdog groups. And those are just the attacks we know about. At the same time, cybersecurity managers say there’s a major shortage of workers to plug the holes that let the bad guys in.
