The story comes from the twisted mind of&nbsp;<em>New York Times</em>&nbsp;crossword editor Will Shortz.</p><p>Chabert stars as Tess Harper, the plucky <em>New York Sentinel&nbsp;</em>crossword editor who can't stop getting embroiled in murder mysteries. In this film, she does a favor for a friend who'd like to propose through her daily crossword puzzle.
