Description
The local authority claims that a new strategy will consolidate Clare as a national leader in sustainability. The Draft Climate Action Plan for 2024-2029 which has just been published will aim to halve greenhouse gas emissions here by the end of the decade, while also increasing green energy output by 50%. The project was formulated with extensive stakeholder engagement and received 283 public submissions between May and June of this year alone. Climate Action Co-Ordinator with Clare County Council Morgan Lahiff has been telling Clare FM's Daragh Dolan that major developments are in the pipeline.
