Description

Visitor numbers to one of the continent's wonders are down because of a surge in insecurity. DR Congo's Virunga National Park, home to the last mountain gorillas, is a place of conservation but also increasingly of conflict. Plus, Cameroonian doctors are stretched thin. In a bid to make up the shortfall in available medics and to reduce the risk of face-to-face appointments, more clinics are offering video consultations. And Senegal's first female pro surfer is inspiring other women to take to the waves whilst still determined to keep her own Olympic dreams afloat.
