Community Health & Hypertension Education

The nonprofit Chasing Health began as a way to bring healthcare into the community when many people have lost trust of doctor's offices or have barriers to attend appointments. This is what attracted Vernessa Mitchell to get involved. She spoke with Brea Barthel and Alisha Washington about the medical challenges of hypertension (high blood pressure), services available through Chasing Health, and collaborating with People’s Health Sanctuary.
