Amen! 💥 "Do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved,...The Lord...is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance" (study 2 Peter 3:8-9). 💥 In the New Testament, we learn through the example of Jesus Christ that followers are called to a life of obedience. Our motivation for obedience is love: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments (John 14:15). We are commanded to CLEANSE ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit! By the grace of God and the prompting of Holy Spirit, these Scriptures were given to us today keep us sober-minded! To be watchful. For we do have an adversary, the devil, "who prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour," so say 1 Peter 5:8. God has given us His wisdom written down in the Scriptures. This is what He wants us to know on this side of glory. And it is to our spiritual maturity and development and sanctification that we heed to His instructions. For then and, ONLY then, we shall receive the gift of eternal life... having lived a righteous and obedient life unto Christ! To most professing "Christians'" dismay and ignorance, the Lord Jesus Christ will ONLY grant eternal life to those: "Who wash their robes [in the blood of Christ by believing and trusting in Him—the righteous who do His commandments], so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the g
