Clare Gardaí Urge Public To Avail Of Drug Related Intimidation Reporting Programme

Clare Gardaí are urging the public to avail of a reporting system which aims to protect vulnerable people from drug related intimidation without fear of prosecution. The Drug Related Intimidation Programme was established in 2009 to combat the widespread infiltration of illicit substances in both rural and urban communities. A dedicated Garda Inspector is available to confidentially process reports in each county, while follow up meetings can be held either formally or informally. Detective Inspector Ennis Garda Station, Padraig Frawley, who is the nominated inspector attached the programme in Clare, says there are safe and secure avenues of help available to those in need.
