Claims Ennis Public Blissfully Unaware Of Dangerous Air Quality

Its claimed the people of Ennis are consistently exposed to dangerous health conditions without their knowledge. It comes amid new data which shows that Clare County Council received 25 air pollution complaints last year alone. Ennis regularly exceeded the World Health Organisations long term air quality levels in 2022, with air pollution in the county linked to 47 premature deaths in the last twelve months. Former Ennis Green Party Councillor Brian Meaney says greater awareness is urgently required.
