Salvation was won through the shedding of Christ's blood, in payment for the sins of the whole world, on the cross at Calvary! Jesus won! Christ was crucified and, in Him, so were we: "I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me" (Galatians 2:20 AMP). Ephesians 2:8 tells us, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." Salvation is a free gift from God. Salvation flows from God's amazing grace! You can do nothing to deserve a gift; for a gift by definition is free! What must you do to get this gift? "BELIEVE." God's gift is through faith - FAITH in His Son! Believe in Jesus Christ and you will be saved! Believe in Christ now and that free gift is yours forever! God gives it by grace. We receive it through faith. In Christ, we have redemption! In Christ, we have reconciliation! In Christ, we are clothed in His righteousness, sealed forever by the Holy Spirit! We must repent and stay out of sin so that the sanctifying work of God's Spirit may have its work in us! Let us always remember, God has made a way for sinful man to be reconciled to Him and that is through the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ!
