Description

This week an active weather continue along the West Coast and has extended inland to the northern and central Rockies and will mostly bypass the southern Rockies and Desert Southwest. Locally from this activity we will catch some rain south of KS/NE border and snow to the north. We will see another system over the weekend then another next Wed/Thu as the trough out west moves eastward and pattern begins to break down to end the month. The active winter pattern has brought us over 3” of beneficial moisture, but not enough to bust the prolonged drought as resumed crop progress reports still have over 50% the winter wheat crop and 30% fair and topsoil subsoil moisture still remains over 60 to 70 percent short and very short.
