<p>Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has taken the blame for the 3-1 defeat to West Ham in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday night.</p>, <p>The Gunners were trailing by three goals already, thanks to Ben White’s own goal and strikes from Mohamed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen, before Martin Odegaard pulled one back.</p>, <p>Speaking after the game, Arteta said: “I’m very disappointed. I am responsible for that, we’re out of the cup and we wanted to play a very different game.</p>, <p>“The game took a direction because of the first goal and we can discuss that but we have to see much more from the team to earn a result at a place like here.</p>, <p>“If there is VAR there’s no first goal, that’s for sure.”</p>, <p>Arsenal travel to Newcastle United next in the Premier League on Saturday evening.</p>
