CAF confirms Enyimba for inaugural African Football League

<p>The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Enyimba among the eight clubs that will participate in the inaugural edition of the African Football League (AFL).</p>, <p>The AFL is a partnership between CAF and Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).</p>, <p>The eight teams were selected from three African Regional Blocks: the North Region, the Central-West Region and the South-East Region.</p>, <p>Reigning African champions Al Ahly of Egypt, Tunisia’s Esperance and Raja Casablanca of Morocco were picked from the North Region.</p>, <p>From the Central-West Region are Enyimba and TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo</p>, <p>Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa, Angola’s Atlético Petróleos de Luanda and Tanzania’s Simba Sports Club are selected from the South-East Region.</p>, <p>The draw for the competition will take place in Cairo, Egypt, on September 2.</p>, <p>The competition, which will run for four weeks, will start on October 20 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.</p>
