Businesswoman rescued from her abductors in Rivers

<p>A businesswoman who was abducted last week in Port Harcourt, Onyi Ugba has regained her freedom after spending eight days in captivity.</p>, <p>Ugba was Kidnapped in her superstore, located at Umuoji junction, Okija Street Mile 2 Diobu Port Harcourt, in Port Harcourt City local government area of Rivers State.</p>, <p>A source close to the family told DAILY POST that the businesswoman regained her freedom on Friday night.</p>, <p>Our source, however, did not disclose whether a ransom was paid for her release.</p>, <p>The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko also confirmed the release of Ugba.</p>, <p>SP Iringe-Koko said operatives of the Command who were on a stop and search operation in Abaili Park Division, Mile 1 intercepted the vehicle where the victim was kept blindfolded.</p>, <p>She added that an investigation has commenced to arrest the perpetrators of the crime.</p>
