Burna Boy overtakes Wizkid as most streamed Nigerian artiste

<p>Grammy-award-winning singer, Burna Boy is now the Most Streamed Nigerian artiste on all visible streaming platforms.</p>, <p>The list was released by Top Chart Africa on Friday.</p>, <p>Famous Nigerian Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, known by his stage name Davido continues to soar as his latest album ‘Timeless’ hits astronomical heights.</p>, <p>Turn Table Charts on Friday in its weekly release on Twitter said, “@davido’s ‘Timeless’ spends an eighth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Official Top 50 Albums Chart in Nigeria</p>, <p>Burna Boy tops the list of Most Streamed Nigerian Artistes on all visible streaming platforms with 8.47 billion combined streams, closely followed by Wizkid with 8.39 billion streams.</p>, <p>Tekno, Flavour and P-Square were displaced from the top 10 in the latest list while Tems, Omah Lay and Asake debuted.</p>, <p>She disclosed this via her Twitter handle on June 2, 2023.</p>, <p>Davido (3.76 billion), Rema (3.67 billion), and CKay (3.28 billion) complete the top 5.</p>, <p>“It is the first album to spend its first two months at No. 1 on the albums chart in the country.”</p>, <p>This comes after a popular streaming platform, Turn Table Charts announced the singer’s album as the first Afrobeat album to spend eight consecutive weeks at number 1 on the Top 50 Nigeria music charts.</p>, <p>Sharing photos of herself donning a wedding gown, Phyna wrote: “Me practicing my wedding gown. 26 and ready.”</p>, <p>In reaction to the new records, Davido simply retweeted the milestones on his official social media pages.</p>, <p>DAILY POST recalls that Phyna recently disclosed that she was receiving a lot of marriage proposals via social media.</p>, <p>Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Josephine Otabor, better known as Phyna, has revealed that she is finally ready for marriage.</p>
