Budget Of €343,000 Proposed For Ennis Area Discretionary Projects In 2024

The Ennis Municipal District has proposed a draft General Municipal Allocation of €343,000 for the coming year. The figure marks on an increase of 36% on last years amount of €252,000. Historically the GMA has been shared evenly between Ennis area elected representatives and if the funding is approved at the full budgetary meeting on November 30th, each councillor would receive €49,000 for discretionary projects in their area. Mayor of Ennis and Fianna Fáíl Councillor Pat Daly says there will be major benefits for local sporting and community organisations.
