<p>Brenden Lyons served as a firefighter knowing the dangers he would face. As a first responder, he knew that he would be running towards danger while protecting those he would serve by helping them run from danger.</p> <p>In the most unexpected way, Brenden's career was cut short, but not while carrying out his duties as a firefighter.&nbsp;</p> <p>Brenden was cycling with his girlfriend as they would often do during his downtime. Suddenly, Brenden and his girlfriend were struck by a vehicle; behind the wheel, a distracted driver.
