Book of Jonah - Jonah 1:1-3 - Prog 03

<p>Our study in the book of Jonah, the prophet to the gentile city of Nineveh, continues with a more detailed look beginning with the first few verses of chapter 1. </p><p> In verse 1, Dr. Mitchell emphasizes the very importance of the Word of God. </p><p> In Verse 2 The Lord commissions Jonah to preach to Nineveh of God’s judgment against their wickedness. </p><p> But in verse 3 we see Jonah’s disobedience as he fled from the presence of the Lord taking a ship traveling in the opposite direction from Nineveh. </p><p> Dr. Mitchell makes an urgent plea for us who know the living God to pray and intercede for unbelievers who around us, whether friends or relatives. </p><p> Let’s open our Bible to Jonah 1 with Dr. Mitchell as he takes us through the first few verses of Jonah 1.
