Barcelona vice-president, Eduard Romeu gives condition for Messi return

<p>Barcelona vice-president, Eduard Romeu has said Lionel Messi will return to the club under “favourable circumstances”.</p>, <p>Since he left the LaLiga club for Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, Messi has continuously been linked with a move back.</p>, <p>This summer he, however, opted to join Inter Miami instead of returning to the Nou Camp.</p>, <p>With the MLS season set to finish at the end of the year, the prospect of Messi going back to Barca on loan has emerged again.</p>, <p>However, the move has been deemed impossible due to Barcelona’s continued financial woes.</p>, <p>Messi is likely to be given a tribute in front of the Barcelona fans once Camp Nou is open again and Romeu is confident it will happen.</p>, <p>“The only thing I would like, and the day and time will surely come, when the circumstances are favourable, is that we can pay him a great tribute,” he told L’Esportiu.</p>, <p>“He deserves it and we’re really looking forward to it.</p>, <p>“The rest is a matter of speculation, we don’t even talk about this subject, because we have already talked about it too many times.”</p>
