I have a lovely reunion after 20 years with Artist, Performer, Writer, Educator, Intellectual, and dear friend, Jessica Kendall, Ph.D. We discuss Jessica’s formative years growing up in Baltimore (Maryland), welding in San Francisco, our time together at CalArts, exploring India, meeting the Dali Lama, grieving her mother & father’s deaths, being present with “what is,” training to be a circus performer, being comfortable with the familiar/strange, working on her doctorate in the United Kingdom, traveling the world, discovering who she is through becoming a mother, finding her home in Canada, perceiving reality, radical kindness, and much more.
