An evergreen tree remains green and lush throughout the four seasons...hence the name evergreen...creating a beautiful contrast between green and white, which is associated with winter.  Evergreen trees are found on every continent except in Antarctica.  Other than looking lovely, evergreens provide lumber, ingredients for medicinal purposes, and firewood.  on youtube you can find many virtual evergreen tours around the world...quite fascinating!</p>
