Amotekun arrests ex-convict for attempted kidnap in Osun

<p>Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested a 25-year-old man, Mumini Oseni, for alleged attempted kidnapping in Osogbo.</p>, <p>The suspect was arrested on Saturday while attempting to kidnap a young girl around Obanisola Street, Powerline area, Osogbo.</p>, <p>It was alleged that Oseni gave the young girl a N50 note, and she raised an alarm which attracted the attention of her mother.</p>, <p>Confirming Oseni’s arrest, the Corps Commander of Amotekun in Osun, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi, said the suspect fled the scene before luck ran against him.</p>, <p>“He was arrested after a complaint was lodged, and the operatives swung into action immediately, and he was apprehended in the act.</p>, <p>“During interrogation, the felon confessed to perpetrating the act and revealed that he was an ex-convict jailed for armed robbery,” Adewinmbi said.</p>, <p>Adewinmbi said the suspect has been handed over to the police for interrogation and prosecution.</p>
