A few weeks before the pandemic lockdown, I got back from a tour in Mexico and had already made arrangements to move from Oslo to Berlin with my girlfriend. At that time, the whole topic of "Coronavirus" was something I didn't even take seriously until I started seeing emails from all the booking managers, one club after the other, canceling all their events. With no plan of getting a full-time "normal" job, I was shocked and a bit paralyzed at first. I was able to get a job and could feel a bit more relaxed, but there was of course something missing. My fingers were itching to play and I started recording countless mixes and also got back to working on producing music in Ableton. This of course gave me some form of stimulation, but the thought of not knowing how long it would be until my next gig or even just going to a club was pure torture. What I did realize after a few months was that I was able to really relax and find some kind of inner calmness, something which was pretty hard considering my very hectic life before that. I also had time to get to know the beautiful city of Berlin in a way I'm sure I would never be able to if circumstances were different. It also gave me a lot of time to put focus on other different projects, music collectives, and labels that I'm currently very much in love with. Such as United We Stream!
