Acts 6:9 - 7:5 - Prog 26

Luke writes of the men who were ministering to the church in Jerusalem in our previous lesson. Now two of these men become the focus in chapters 7 and 8. But here in Acts chapter 6:9, Luke records the opposition to the Gospel. It came from some unbelieving Jews in a synagogue against an individual believer, Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit and of wisdom and grace and power. But these could not withstand the wisdom and Spirit with which he spoke to these false witnesses who accused him of speaking against Moses. They still found fault against the Lord Jesus as well.
