Acts 3:19 - 4:4 - Prog 18

In this lesson, we hear Peter completing his address to those gathered in the temple. He testified the God had, in Jesus, fulfilled what God had spoken ahead of time through all the prophets. These are are the Old Testament prophets also found in Hebrew Bible. If fact, Peter states that all the prophets from Samuel onward had proclaimed these days. Indeed they still do. Peter proclaims that God raised up His Son, Jesus the Messiah, to bless each one by turning everyone from their sin. The Lord Jesus Christ who has been raised from the dead. Believing in Jesus, who is alive right now, you have turned from this one and only sin by which God will judge each person. By receiving Jesus Christ as your savior, you have turned from this sin and God declares you righteous with Himself.
