<p>Given the low cost of coronary artery calcium (CAC) testing and the high likelihood that it will change management of the patient, the cost-effectiveness of CAC testing is robust due to better and more accurate targeting of intermediate risk patients to statin and aspirin therapy and promotion of adherence to those therapies.
