<p>Brown Paper Bag Chronicles: Down the Rabbits Hole of Illusion</p> <p>This podcast takes a close examination at the correlation between privilege individuals and their taste for fine pets. More specifically, there has been a culture of pets being considered, "A Man's Best Friend" in the circle's and spaces of the elite. Yes many people own pets, but the privileged hold this attitude that they will love and take better care of their dog than a person of color. In Mo Stories, we will learn how slaves tried to escape and drown out the sounds of the cries and the moan's of hounds. Slaves were subject to getting "sicked on". In recent stories, people of color are subject to dogs attacking them simply because they were trained to do so. Horses have been subject to participate in the brutality of slavery and other historical atrocities. This is traumatizing for many horses and there stories will continue to come to me.</p> <p>The experience of dogs not fully understanding what they are doing wrong is not their fault. They don't understand race. They are simply reacting to their training. I am speaking about these issues to help usher in healing for people of color who have been killed or harmed by animals through a legacy of hate crimes.</p> <p>Expensive breeds have been used as a status symbol and to gain access into certain social circles. There is a Mo-Story about how dogs will not betray you in general no matter what you do. This is an abuse of power from privilege owners. </p> <p>Slavery was a whisper ago, still lingering in the night. There are deep seeded thoughts that black people are closer to monkey's and hold animal like tendencies as well as living like animals. This is indicative of the 20% rule and the tendency for white families to move out of the neighborhood if there are a certain percentage of black people that move into the community.
