Description

Primary biliary cholangitis is a rare, chronic, progressive, autoimmune disease of the liver. The condition can lead to fibrosis, cirrhosis, and liver failure. CymaBay Therapeutics is developing an experimental therapy, Seladelpar, as a treatment for PBC. We spoke to Sujal Shah, president and CEO of CymaBay Therapeutics about PBC, Seladelpar, and why this first-in-class therapy has promise to address this condition with high unmet needs.
