A Christmas Gift to You vs A Motown Christmas - Part 2

<p>It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and, to get you in the festive mood, why not listen to the second part in our Christmas Album Clash (told you it would become a time-honoured tradition…)?</p> <p>Bringing things home this week, Kev guides us through the 1973 compilation album ‘A Motown Christmas’. Featuring contributions from Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, The Temptations, the Supremes and Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, this bumper 24-track double album is another one where you surely can’t have failed to hear at least some of the all time classics that lie within.</p> <p>Given the number of songs there are to go through we aren’t quite as forensic as usual, but we still have our usual band of bonhomie and informative chat as we rattle through the album. We even have some actual debate this week. I bet it won’t last.</p> <p>In this week’s ‘video killed the radio star’ Tim introduces a recent Radiohead video featuring a former Australian soap star turned Hollywood actor being terrorised by a drone.</p> <p>As is our custom, we &nbsp;get down to scoring and deciding which of these two albums is the best, and then Tim reveals our next clash season, and which clash will be kicking off the season in our New Year straddling episodes.</p> <p>Also this week:</p> <ul> <li>we wonder what eggnog actually is (Americans, please tell us);</li> <li>what the hell has the Sound of Music got to do with Christmas?; and</li> <li>we decide who is the worst Michael.</li> </ul> <p>Finally we just want to wish all of our listeners a very merry Christmas and a healthy, happy New Year, and we hope you have a lovely time whatever you do and however you celebrate the season.
