She has the most incredible origin stories. She is a former beauty queen (2006/2007 Singapore Miss Universe) and the Founder of Soul Rich Woman; South East Asia's leading network for female entrepreneurs connecting over 11,000 women and 200,000 subscribers across the region. She is also a successful business owner. She started a cafe retail chain and expanded it to three different countries with 18 franchises.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Where it all started</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Things didn't seem to be as rosy as they are nowadays. Young Genecia had to support herself since she was 14 years old. Her family didn't have a good financial situation. To support her family and pay for her tuition, she teaches yoga, aerobics, and country line dancing. She was bullied by mean girls in her school. She was constantly mocked by them and it really affected her entire mindset. </p><p><br></p><p>(3:48-4:24) But my Mom was my pillar of support. She told me to turn my mess into my message. And to add that on, because I was the youngest instructor back in those days in Singapore and they, a lot of students, they were like, telling me “ Genecia, what can you teach us. You’re so young. You’re only 16. You’re nowhere near our age. What do you know about health and, you know, live sell?” And I couldn’t handle criticisms.</p><p><br></p><p>(4:40-4:47) You see this piece serves as a foundation for me because of all the trials and tribulations I have gone through. </p><p><br></p><p>(5:44-5:51) So from having nothing to being a winner on stage really transformed my life. So that in itself came to a point where my image consultancy business came to a standstill. I’m going to throw that away and move forward to go online.</p><p><br></p><p>(6:05) so I found a mentor who kind of guided me and showed me my blind spots and taught me what I do not know. </
