82: Joyful Joey - Emotional healing as a gateway to inner power

<p>Joyful Joey is an emotional healing practitioner and educator who focuses on harnessing our body’s natural ability to self-heal &amp; regenerate, so we can re-discover our destiny to thrive. He helps teenagers and adults to resolve their stress, overwhelm, and anxiety for a lifetime—without requiring meditation, yoga, talk therapy, or positive psychology. Joey is also a child of divorce and grew up in a single parent household. &nbsp;His advice for single parents: You have the power within you to self regulate all stressful and overwhelming feelings. Your child is capable of this as well, and together you can help one another to become even more effective at it. The next time you feel overwhelmed, stressed, or are struggling: pause what you are doing, close your eyes, find at least 2 physical sensations in your body, do nothing (simply feel and surrender to that feeling), and keep doing nothing until you feel a sense of calm. Often in 3 minutes or less your body will self regulate as you allow yourself to feel your feelings. Doing this as often as you need will ensure that you do not pass disruptive/destructive emotional triggers onto your children. Continually enacting this practice will harness &amp; increase the emotional intelligence of the entire family—as each emotional trigger arises moment by moment.
