#72 When You are the Child AND Parent: First-Generation Experiences

<p>Happy Thanksgiving! &nbsp;In this episode, I share a personal story about the dual role that we, first-generation children, sometimes play - the child and parent. &nbsp;Six years ago, my father passed away on Thanksgiving weekend. &nbsp;Four months later my mother passed away. &nbsp;It was heartbreaking and a painful time for me. &nbsp;Playing the dual role in my family was difficult and I missed out on part of my childhood. &nbsp;But, I also found a silver lining, or as I say, I learned to turn crap into a fertilizer. &nbsp;To those of you playing the dual role - I admire and respect you.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Aspira Consulting information https://aspiraconsulting.com/</p> <p><br></p>
