Description

Hello to you listening in Broomfield, Colorado!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga

Previously, my friend Joe was stuck figuring out how to market his organic goat meat.

Maybe it’s fate, maybe it’s the post office but a flier from the University of Maryland Extension Program, College of Agriculture ends up in Joe’s mailbox. He reads about a weekend course on how to market your product and decides to jump in. As with so many ideas this seems straightforward enough: get out there, network, push your product. How hard could that be?

So, Joe finds an old motor home for sale and fixes it up as a traveling kitchen. He’s going to visit each and every state and local fair in Virginia. Surely, people eat at the fair.

But, it’s terrible out there. Downright miserable. Joe is offering 3 items: organic goat kabobs, organic goat curry and an organic goat skillet burger with all the fixins. He’s up against onion blossoms, corn dogs, brats and peppers, curly cut fries.

While his prices are in keeping with what he’s trying to sell, they’re more than the competition. The food is foreign. Nobody is interested - except maybe on a dare. He hits the wall. Now what? Join us tomorrow for Part 3.

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time! Remember to stop by the website, check out the Services, arrange a Discovery Call, and Opt In to stay current with Diane and Quarter Moon Story Arts and on <a href="linkedin
