Description

Hello to you listening in Clinton, Washington!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds (an a bit more) for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Decades before I coined the term “Engaged Storyism® Method” I had been practicing it, both as a nurse and lawyer. What do I mean? Imagine you have a patient with complaints of increased thirst and urination. You take a history, physical, run diagnostic tests and determine she is suffering from diabetes. Or, you could engage with your patient’s story and inquire about her lifestyle: what’s her culture, habits; what’s going on in her life; does she eat alone; is food sustenance or crutch; what budget does she have for groceries; where is the closest grocery store; who else is she taking care of; who else does she need to feed; and so on.

This line of inquiry involves integrating the individual with her unique situation, humanity, emotions, character traits, values, habits, and culture so we can uncover the underlying story that will help us help her.

Your personal or professional situation is no different. My clients want to strategize a new direction, advance a practice, win a case, sell an idea, share a vision, craft a keynote, or inspire and influence in their own voice.

My Engaged Storyism® Method is a holistic practice of integrating my client’s individual desires with her unique values, attributes, situations, humanity, emotions. When I have a thorough understanding of a client’s particular circumstances - some might say pain points or suffering - together we can produce desired results.

How? With applied critical listening, thoughtfully deep questioning and decisive use of the story structure common to every human experience.

Result? You will speak in your own truly authentic powerful voice knowing ful
