60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey: A Fire Engine Red Diner Mug.

<p>Hello to you in Berlin, Germany!</p><p>Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.</p><p>Years ago my sister gave me a fire engine red diner mug with the <a href="https://www.nhpr.org/#stream/0">New Hampshire Public Radio </a>logo in white letters. The handle fits me just so. The weight of the mug is the perfect diner heft not too heavy, not too light. Most important it’s a reminder of the sunny afternoon she opened the trunk of her car, lifted out a small cardboard box, handed it to me and said, “<i>I hope you can use this. Drink in good health</i>.”</p><p>And I do - every single day. I think of her across the country in New Hampshire.
