60 Seconds for Tips on Thursday: Choosing to Remain Silent While Incubating Ideas.

<p>Hello to you listening in <a href="https://www.travelok.com/tulsa">Tulsa, Oklahoma</a>!</p><p>Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.</p><p>Perhaps like you some days I turn away from others to remain private, to keep my ideas to myself.</p><p>Some days I choose to remain silent to allow my ideas to roam and stretch in whatever direction they’ll go to flourish.</p><p>Some days I do not want humans influencing me, my ideas, my thoughts; or, even co-opting them before I am confident about what to share and how and with whom.</p><p>What’s underlying this deliberate, intentional posture? I do not want to defer to you, your ideas, your perspective, your input. I choose to remain silent and wait while my growth take place.</p><p><strong>Practical Tip</strong>: Spending time alone with our ideas will give them permission to grow and solidify in confidence until we are ready to ask another: <i>What do you think?</i></p><p>Until then it’s okay to keep our ideas close to our heart.      </p><p><i>This is the place to thrive together.
