<p>Hello to you listening in <a href="https://globetrooper.com/things-to-do-in-colchester-vermont/" target="_blank">Colchester, Vermont</a>!</p><p>Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga.</p><p>When I’m feeling less than my best, and more my righteous, opinionated, judgmental self I remember something Elizabeth Ellis, my friend and storytelling mentor said to me: “<i>When we feel like a hammer everything looks like a nail</i>.”</p><p>My teacher, the venerable Vietnamese Buddhist monk <a href="https://plumvillage.org/thich-nhat-hanh/" target="_blank">Thich Nhat Hanh</a> had this to say to us, "<i>For things to reveal themselves to us, we need to be ready to abandon our views about them</i>.”</p><p>Imagine if we could change our view about some one thing or person, how might we shift our outlook? Maybe no more hammer.....  </p><p><strong>Story Prompt</strong>: If you could change your view about something or someone, what or who would that be and what would happen next? Write that story!</p><p><strong>Practical Tip</strong>: The magic of stories is also in the sharing.
