<div>Top-seeded Avon beat #8 Opole 5-1 on Friday night to open the South/West Division Playoffs.  Cole Wellmann hurled 6 shutout innings, scattering 3 hits to get the Win.  Matt Meyer went 2-3 with an rbi and Caleb Curry was 1-3 with 2 rbi to lead the Lakers.  Tate Lange went 1-4 with a double for the Bears.</div>
