3 June - St Charles Lwanga, Martyr

St Charles Lwanga was a Ugandan convert. In his role as chief page of the country, he brought about 100 youth to be baptised. This angered the morally corrupt and barbaric king, Mwanga, who had him martyred together with 22 others. St Charles Lwanga is the patron saint of youth, converts and torture victims.
