2557: UN Special Representative to South Sudan, Nicholas Haysom's remarks at RJMEC plenary

<div>UN Special Representative to South Sudan, Nicholas Haysom welcomed the reconstitution of the National Elections Commission, The Political Parties Council, and the National Constitutional Review Commission, which the UN has on several occasions said, are essential to the conduct of credible elections. This was during the Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission – R-JMEC’s plenary. <br> <br> In a speech read for him by the Officer in Charge of Political Affairs within DSRSG’s office, Musa Gassam - Special Representative Haysom said the credibility of the bodies begins with establishing public trust and confidence in these institutions from their inception.  <br> <br> </div>
