<p>Mental Health has been top of mind for many of us since 2020, the uncertainty that covid and lockdown brought to our lives was too intense to comprehend. </p> <p>In this episode I am in conversation with Aimee Isaacs on Mental Health, what it is and what it is not as well as how to prioritize mental health in our lives. </p> <p>In the conversation we cover many sub topics such as why 2023 seems to be so hard, load shedding, what mental health really entails, mental health in the context of being South African, Occupational therapy, chronic illness and much more. </p> <p>Bio</p> <p>Aimee Isaacs is an occupational therapist with more than 12 years’ experience in child and adult mental health. She has a special interest in mental wellness, anxiety and stress management and in 2020 started The Self-Care Studio, an online platform that aims to destigmatize and improve access to mental health information and stress management techniques using social media platforms like Instagram and Youtube.</p> <p> </p> <p>This platform has since grown to now offer mental health retreats, sensory regulation stress management toolkits and mental health talks.
