211.5: Isaiah 8: Immanuel - God with Us, Conqueror, Savior, Lord and King!

<p>The next 2 chapters of Isaiah, 8 and 9, foretell what happened in 2 &nbsp;Kings 17-19. I admit, I struggled with which chapters I should cover &nbsp;first, the prophecy or the historical account. I opted to go with the &nbsp;prophecy since it is so powerful and it talks to us today. The &nbsp;historical accounts just prove that God keeps his promises and when He &nbsp;says repent or else, He means it. Over and over again, God gave Israel &nbsp;and Judah plenty of time and opportunity to repent and turn from the &nbsp;worship of <a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2020/05/22/idolatry-and-immorality-jesus-speaks-to-the-churches-revelation/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">worthless idols</a> and <a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2020/08/02/proven-truth-how-paganism-and-idolatry-started-in-the-church/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">pagan</a> gods. Needless to say, they didn’t. Unfortunately, <a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2021/01/19/from-the-first-century-to-now-the-idolatry-and-evil-god-hates-still-flourish/">people still do this today</a>. I pray that these prophecies and accounts will open your eyes to God’s power and the realization that He is <a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2020/12/31/god-created-god-is-love-god-is-still-in-control-you-can-trust-god/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">still in control</a>.
