<p>In this episode I am in conversation with Barbar Symons on her incredible book Escaping Christianity-Finding Christ.</p> <p>Triggering as this title may seem, having read the book several times, I found that the title does not do justice to what is covered in the book. It is not just a memoir of someone who left church, it is far deeper, more re-assuring and comforting to many who are struggling with the idea of Church but Love God and the teachings of Jesus. </p> <p>In the conversation we touch on her back story of having grown in fundamentalist Christian home - he moment of awakening and some themes she covers in the book. She lives in College Station, Texas.</p> <p>Barbara is writer, an ordained minister and has counseled hundreds of people seeking freedom from spiritual oppression and possession. Her education spans decades within and without of the organized church system. She is the author of two books titled, Escaping Christianity ~ Finding Christ and Musings from an EX Christian Fundamentalist.
