2026 WCQ: Peseiro storms Uyo to begin preparation for Super Eagles clash

<p>Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, breezed into Uyo on Sunday night ahead of his team’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Likuena of Lesotho.</p>, <p>Peseiro arrived the beautiful city in company of his three foreign assistants, Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos and Vitor Hugo.</p>, <p>Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Football Normalization Committee, Prince Bonny Nyong, received the quartet at the Victor Attah International Airport.</p>, <p>The Super Eagles will begin preparations for the game on Monday.</p>, <p>Peseiro has already invited 23 players to camp for the game and the matchday two fixture with the Warriors of Zimbabwe.</p>, <p>The West Africans will entertain Leslie Notsi’s Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Thursday.</p>, <p>The three-time African champions will face Zimbabwe three days later at the Huye Stadium, Butare.</p>
