2023 AFCON: CAF, LOC launch official theme song

<p>The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) have launched the official song for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.</p>, <p>The official song is titled “AKWABA” which means welcome in Ivorian parlance.</p>, <p>The musical project was piloted by the talented team at global record label, Universal Music Africa.</p>, <p>The song embodies a declaration of love for football, a tribute to the continent’s cultural diversity and the warm hospitality of Cote d’Ivoire.</p>, <p>Nigerian diva, Yemi Alade, Ivorian group Magic System, Egyptian pop icon Mohamed Ramadan and renowned producer Dany Synthe collaborated on the song.</p>, <p>Cote d’Ivoire will stage the 2023 AFCON finals from January 13 to February 11, 2024.</p>, <p>24 countries will take part in the biennial competition.</p>
