A Mother / Genesis 3:14–16 Introduction The main point that I want to highlight in all of this is THE GLORY OF GOD IN MOTHERHOOD. With that said, turn in your Bibles to Genesis 3 and we will read verses 14-16. That is Genesis 3:14-16 If you do not have your bible, or are online, it should be on the screen. If you able, please stand as we honor the reading of the word of the Lord. Genesis 3:14-16 The first thing God makes painfully clear is that: Sin has immediate and long-term consequences. Pt. I - Sin Has Immediate & Long-Term Consequences When you put everything at the feet of Jesus and run the race of motherhood in His power and strength The Glory of God in Motherhood is on display for the world to see and the world desperately needs to see that. Additionally, the second thing that God shows us is sin destroys womanhood, martial & maternal relationships. Pt. II - Sin Destroys Womanhood, Martial & Maternal Relationships The Glory of God in Motherhood is displayed in its fullest is when you lay at Jesus’ feet your burdens, worries, cares, and exhaustion and find your rest in Him. The Glory of God in Motherhood is displayed in its fullest when women embrace Godly feminism. The last thing verse 15 shows us is Sin destroyed through motherhood. Pt. III - Sin Destroyed through Motherhood Look with me real quick back to verse 15 Conclusion Motherhood and femininity were created with the Glory of God in full view. Not as an afterthought, not as some unnecessary role without purpose. But with wonder, mystery, and in the image of a thrice Holy and Good God.
