On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: The tornado outbreak in the US has killed at least 88 people, 74 of them in Kentucky. Across Kentucky, about 24,000 homes and businesses were still without electricity today, down slightly from the day before, according to power outages. Bishop William Medley from the Diocese of Owensboro in Kentucky, joins to tell us about the damage in his state, especially to some of the Churches in his diocese. Meanwhile, healthcare workers in New York asked the Supreme Court to block the state's vaccine mandate. Although the justices were split on this decision, the court will allow the mandate to stay in place without providing religious freedom exemptions. Director of the Conscience Project, Andrea Picciotti-Bayer, joins to tell us why the court would allow a mandate that has no religious exemptions to remain. Finally this evening, Caritas Internationalis is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its foundation. Operating in over 200 countries, it is a confederation of Catholic organizations, and its mission is to respond practically to humanitarian crises.
