On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: The Senate has officially started debate on the bipartisan $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill for roads, bridges, water and broadband. A vote took place late Sunday night with the help of 18 Republicans, but there is still significant GOP opposition to the bill. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says the Senate will vote Tuesday morning on the bill. Research fellow at the Heritage Foundation, Joel Griffith, joins to tell us how much of that money goes to things like bridges, roads, water and broadband. Meanwhile, The USCCB is criticizing the Biden administration for some of its policies at the US Southern border, including expedited removal and Title 42. Both measures are designed to remove migrants from the country faster. And the conflict between Israel and Iran is ongoing following a drone strike of an Israeli oil tanker. Managing Director of the Coalition for Jewish Values, Rabbi Yaakov Menken, joins to talk more about the tension between Iran and Israel. Finally this evening, today is International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples. An initiative from the United Nations is seeking to address poverty, illness and other issues affecting indigenous people.
