2021.06.20 The Dying Breed Of Real Biblical Men

It is difficult to know where to begin with a sermon when 1) I do not preach much, 2) I typically ride the wave of one book before moving somewhere else, and 3) it’s Father’s Day. There is so much to say, and so little time. I want to read you an article I came across a long time ago, probably 3-5 years. I honestly don’t remember when I first read it but I bookmarked it so I could come back to it. It is titled, The Dying Breed of Real Men and I like it. In fact, I titled my sermon in similar fashion. THE DYING BREED OF REAL BIBLICAL MEN. If we do not focus on, and fix the man problem we watch the family, the church, and society die a slow agonizing and painful death. Don’t believe its true, listen again to these stats. There are 19.7 million children, more than 1 in 4, who live without a father in the home. As a result, it has been shown to have a devastating effect on all the societal ills we face. All of them! Including a sleepy apathetic church unwilling to serve where needed that continues to slowly bleed out.
